Meet
Patricia Mudiayi
Kwesu was started in 2011 by Patricia Mudiayi, a migrant from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Following a long journey of working at different jobs in order to become financially stable and independent, Patricia found herself a position as a Science and Life Orientation teacher at the LEAP School. It was at this point that Patricia knew that she needed to stand up and speak for those who were still struggling to find work and find themselves.
"After living in South Africa as a refugee woman and undergoing all sorts of challenges as women; after seeing the lack of opportunity for me and my fellow women, I decided to dedicate my life to creating opportunity for those women struggling in South Africa."
